Community Caring Center of Palm Beach County, Inc.

   "Creating A Healthier Community" Initiative

Our model for seniors to age in place in Boynton

Our goal is for the seniors in our program to get more than just a meal, they are able to experience well being through aging in place.

Aging in place is the ability to live in ones home and community safely, independently, and comfortably, regardless of age, income or ability level.

Food and meals for our seniors

Senior and Chronic Meals

Current participants in our chronic meal program suffer from renal failure, hypertension and diabetes. Soon, we will offer additional options for those suffering from chronic conditions including chemo patients and specialty meals to encourage heart and brain health and minimize complications from arthritis and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
Food is the first need many have

Veggie Mobile

Maybe you have seen our big green veggie mobile running around the county? Once a week, produce that has been gleaned from farms or donated by grocery stores is delivered directly to 300 seniors' homes. This is more than just veggies being distributed. It is checking in on the seniors to be sure they are doing okay.

It is so flashy we know

Social Activities

For the seniors in the program, there are monthly activities with a full meal, designed to help bring a sense of community, connection and continual personal growth opportunities.

We make our events special for the seniors

Mother's day lunch

Healthy based activities that seniors can take back home with them.

Amplify seniors voices

Amplify the voices that need to be heard

We believe in the power of storytelling to shift perceptions. We provide the space for our seniors to continue to be civically engaged, to continue to grow in their leadership and have their voices heard; when so many other channels are telling them to be silent and forgotten.

Activities to create community

Town hall meeting with mayor of Boynton to discuss

issues within the community.

We let politicians know about the issues seniors face

Discussion about a bill for the medically targeted with State Senator Lori Berman.

Our model is cheaper for economy than other models
Aging in place for

24 days costs tax payers the same amount as

6 days in a nursing home or

1 day in a hospital.

That is why this program is vital. We allow seniors the dignity of aging in place which is something we all can hope for one day.
